Her scope of practice includes health psychology (coping with acute or chronic medical concerns), medical anxiety (dealing with fear of perceived or diagnosed illness), women’s health concerns, and psychological treatment of healthcare providers and their family members (managing the stress of healthcare provision, enhancing the medical marriage, and seeking work/life balance in healthcare families).
She does not provide services for children or adolescents, or those seeking treatment for substance abuse/addiction, crisis management, or court-ordered therapy.
Dr. Soberon’s goal is to provide the highest quality of psychological care in a discreet and comfortable therapy setting. She has flexible hours that include weekend availability. She does not accept insurance but can assist in filing for reimbursement for out of network benefits. She offers a 15% discount on rates for University of Florida students, first responders, and for active duty service members, veterans, and their families.
Teletherapy is available for those who are medically compromised or isolating due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rates for teletherapy assessment and psychotherapy are the same as in-person services.
